My computer had been hit by a virus and I could not access the Internet or even install any programs. To re-install windows I would have to pay for a new copy.I had read about ubuntu in a magazine so I installed it on my system to see what it was like. I was amazed at how good it was considering it was free. It's extremely customisable and fun to use.When I looked into it a bit more, I realised there are loads of different types of GNU/Linux programmes.
